Essas palavras são utilizadas para se referir a objetos contáveis e incontáveis, quando suas quantidades são indefinidas.
MUCH - muito, para objetos incontáveis.
MANY - muitos (as), para objetos contáveis.
LITTLE - pouco, para objetos incontáveis.
FEW - poucos (as), para objetos contáveis.
Exemplos:
How MANY books do you have? I have a FEW books. Only 3.
How MUCH money does this TV cost? A lot, but that one costs just a LITTLE.

TIP: Uma dica é pensar se a palavra pode ser pluralizada, Caso sim, use FEW / MANY. Se não, LITTLE / MUCH. Só tome cuidado com as palavras cujo plural não são em terminados em -S, como PEOPLE (pessoas), MICE (camundongos), MEN (homens), FEET (pés)...
